About Andee
A Côte Saint-Luc resident for 20 years, Andee Shuster is a woman who proudly wears many hats; an experienced marketing communications professional, volunteer community activist, arts advocate, as well as a loving wife to Ben and mom to Alexandra. Since 2021 she has held the leadership role of Côte Saint-Luc City Councillor for District 8 and Recreation Portfolio Councillor, serving her residents and working with elected officials and staff to propel initiatives forward.

Career Highlights
McGill University (2019-present)
In the spring of 2019, Andee was appointed as McGill Faculty of Education’s inaugural Marketing and Communications Officer. As a trusted member of her alma mater’s Dean’s Office team, Andee currently manages all major marketing communications campaigns and projects for the Faculty and its departments, as well as liaising with central units within McGill’s staff network.

During COVID, Andee has played a critical role in urgent internal communications, actively ensuring that Education students and personnel were promptly updated with the latest health and safety protocols and felt supported during challenging times. Andee’s #McGillEdAtHome video — a self-driven initiative to help reconnect the Education community at the very start of the pandemic, was launched nearly a month before similar efforts emerged from other University entities. Andee was instrumental in crafting the Faculty's statement against Bill 21, working to launch the Sylvan Adams Sports Science Institute, and has been lauded by her peers for her teamwork and proactive new ideas.
Real Estate Development (2013-2019)
As a marketing consultant in the multifamily real estate sector, Andee worked closely with the owners and managers of North American apartment complexes and an active lifestyle senior’s community. In this role, Andee advised on rebranding, communications, online reputation management, as well as the planning and allocation of the advertising budget. As an integral part of the development team, she led several community enhancement projects; bringing in a renowned professional mural artist, implementing Google 360 tours, selecting playground and outdoor fitness equipment, implementing Amazon Hubs, among other resident-centric initiatives. One of Andee's favourite memories was being invited behind the scenes at Yelp's Scottsdale regional office to offer feedback as a corporate client and connect with reps.

Volunteerism
​​​Andee prides herself on being a proactive community volunteer and has been affiliated with such non-profits as Alliance Quebec, Shaare Zion Congregation, Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre, Na’amat Montreal, the Jewish Public Library, Merton Elementary School, among others.
